Policies and Guidelines
Please read the following policies and guidelines carefully. Then, slip on your traveling shoes… we’ll do the rest!
Trip Schedules are mailed monthly by first class or by email if you choose that option. Our trips fill very quickly, so mail your reservation requests as soon as possible!
Reservations for Day Trips are accepted on a first-come basis, either by mail or on-line at our web site. Unless you hear otherwise, you can assume your reservations(s) have been accepted. If the trip you’ve requested is sold out, you will immediately receive a wait list card. We’ll call you as soon as space becomes available.
- Theater Seats are assigned as they are received by mail. The best seats are guaranteed to those who reserve early. Please note that theater tickets are non-refundable unless we can resell your ticket for you.
- Trip Confirmation notices with times and details are mailed 2-3 weeks before the trip.
- Telephone Reservations will be accepted for previously offered trips only, which are listed at the top of page 1 of the monthly schedule. Call 508-385-5547.
Payment for day trips is due in full at the time of booking. Multi-day trips require a deposit as specified in the monthly schedule or in the trip’s brochure.
Departures – Routinely, we depart from the Harwich Commuter Parking Lot (Route 6, Exit 10); the Hyannis K-Mart Parking Lot (Route 132); and the Sagamore Commuter Parking Lot. Specific trip departure points and times will be noted on your Trip Confirmation Notice.
Guests – You are entitled to one guest to join you on each trip (your spouse, a friend, etc.). Additional guests will be accepted on a space available basis once all our members have been accommodated. Be sure to call and ask!
Day Trip Reservation Cancellations – Regardless of the reason, cancellations result in a costly process of time-consuming administrative expenses. To offset these costs, if we are able to resell your seat(s), you will receive a full CCA credit less a 15% per person processing fee. In addition, if we are unable to resell your seat(s) and non-refundable expenses have been incurred (transportation, theater tickets, meals, etc.) these too must be paid. In fairness to others, we cannot make exceptions. Cancellations received within 48 hours of departure will be non-refundable. Should you need to cancel, please advise us as soon as possible. Sometimes, we have waiting lists of members who are anxious and willing to join us, even with short notice. Members should advise their guests of these policies.
Multi-Day Trip Cancellations – Policies vary, and are stated on the trip brochure or on the trip confirmation letter.
Inclement Weather – Tune in to WQRC 99.9 FM between 6-7 am on the morning of the trip for any cancellation announcement. A general rule of thumb applies for CCA … if the bus goes, we go!
Responsibility – Cape Cod Adventures and cooperating agents exercise every care possible to ensure your comfort and safety. However, we act only in the capacity of agent for the passenger in all matters pertaining to all features of the tour. As such, we do not assume, and in fact we expressly disclaim, any liability or responsibility for personal injury, damage, delay or accident due to default of any person or company, and/or for alterations or substitutions in trip itineraries for conditions beyond our control. The right is reserved to decline to accept or retain anyone as a member of any tour at any time with cause. If you have a physical disability and need special assistance, you must be accompanied by a companion who can be and is willing to be totally responsible for providing all required assistance. Please call us with any questions before booking. Advancement of deposit to Cape Cod Adventures constitutes agreement to these terms.
