"ANYTHING GOES" QUICHE

I really like the "Anything Goes" Quiche as it truly is adaptable to "anything" you have left over and want to put in it. Just be creative!!!

1, 9" unbaked pie shell (purchased or home-made)

8 slices cooked bacon, or 1/2 c. chopped cooked ham, or cooked shrimp, or left over vegetables...your pleasure!

3 beaten eggs
1-1/2 c. milk,(or use light cream or half and half)
1 Tbs. flour
1/4 t. nutmeg
pinch salt

1/2 c. shredded Swiss cheese
1/2 c. Monterey Jack, Mozzarella, or Cheddar (your choice)

Bake pastry shell in 450 oven 10-12min. till pastry is nearly done.
Remove from oven.  Reduce oven to 325.
Pastry shell should still be hot when filling is added.  Do not bake ahead of time.

In large bowel, stir together, eggs, milk, flour, salt & nutmeg.
Stir in ingredients of your choice of meat/veggies and cheese.
Mix well.  Pour into warm pastry shell.
Bake in 325 oven 35-40 minutes or till knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 5-10 minutes before serving. Serves 6-8
