Saturday, May 9 - Boston to Budapest, Hungary
We’ll begin our “adventure” with an overnight flight to Budapest. Dinner and a light breakfast will be served en route.

Sunday, May 10 - Budapest
Upon arrival, we will transfer to the ship and settle in for a deluxe 7 night cruise on the newest ship in the fleet of Amadeus Waterways. Open your sliding glass door to feel the warm breezes as you send a “we have arrived safely” message home from your own cabin computer with free access to e-mail and the internet as well as numerous selections of music or movies to choose from; play a game of chess on the upper deck or just relax in the panoramic lounge for viewing the magnificent scenery; partake in the included small group excursions with your own headset to hear the local guides; enjoy local wine or beer with your fine dining evening meal followed by carefully chosen local entertainment. This is truly a luxurious riverboat experience.

Monday, May 11 - Mohacs & Pecs, Hungary - Vukovar, Croatia
This morning, the ship arrives in Mohacs, where you depart for an interesting excursion to Pecs. Charming Old Pecs will be brought alive by your local guides during your walking tour. See the Synagogue, Christian Basilica and visit the former Turkish Mosque. Once your ship exits Hungary, the Danube will make up the border between Serbia on one side and Croatia on the other. Tonight, arrive in Vukovar, Croatia. (B,L,D)

Tuesday, May 12 - Vukovar, Croatia - Novi Sad, Serbia
This morning, a guided bus and walking tour of Vukovar will show you the Franciscan Monastery of St. John Capistrano, the Manorhouse Eltz and the St. James and St. Nicholas churches. During lunch, continue your cruise to Novi Sad, Serbia, where you will tour the 18th-Century Austrian-Hungarian Petrovaradin Fortress. (B,L,D)

Wednesday, May 13 - Belgrade, Serbia
This morning, arrive in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, where you have a chance to explore both the old and the new town. Your guided tour features Tito's memorial, the Town Hall, the Federal Parliament Building, Terazije Street, Republic Square and Mihajlova street, "Varos" Gate and the mighty Kalemegdan Fortress. Thursday, May 14 - Cruising through The Iron Gates
Today, enjoy a full day of cruising through one of Europe's most awe-inspiring natural wonders, the Iron Gates. Here the Danube narrows, as it winds through a range of magnificent gorges between the southern Carpathian Mountains and the northwestern foothills of the Balkan Mountains. Forming the natural border between Serbia and Romania, today’s passage will be an unforgettable highlight of your Black Sea adventure. (B,L,D)

Friday, May 15 - Vidin, Bulgaria
The "Bada Vida" Fortress sits guard over the Danube at the Bulgarian frontier town of Vidin. The 14th-century castle has massive walls and dark towers, which strongly contrast the natural park which surrounds the castle. From here, take an excursion to Belogradschik, a beautifully restored 6th-century castle, located in a fairytale landscape of unusual rock formations. (B,L,D)

Saturday, May 16 - Giurgiu - Bucharest, Romania
Today, enjoy a full day excursion to Bucharest, capital and largest city in Romania. The city is famed for its Belle Epoque era buildings dating from the 19th century. During the morning city tour, you will see the Arch of Triumph, Soseaua Kiseleff, the Athenaeum, the Library and visit the Parliament Palace - the world's largest palace. Enjoy lunch in a typical Romanian restaurant, then choose to shop, explore on your own or visit the open air museum, which was dedicated to the traditional architecture and buildings of rural Romania. Sunday, May 17 - Rousse - Veliko Tarnovo - Plovdiv, Bulgaria
This morning, disembark in Rousse and continue your tour by motorcoach. Your first stop is the ancient capital of Bulgaria, Veliko Tarnovo. Here you will tour Tsarevets Hill, the citadel of the city, the old fortress walls, the Royal Palaces, the Patriarchal church and Baldwin's Tower. Shoppers can explore the traditional street market, Samovodska Charshia. Enjoy a traditional Bulgarian lunch before continuing onto the Black Sea resort town of Plovdiv. This evening, see the main highlights of the Old Town before dinner at a local restaurant. (B,L,D )

Monday, May 18 - Plovdiv - Istanbul, Turkey
After breakfast, continue on to magical Istanbul for the grand three-night conclusion of your Black Sea Voyage. (B)

Tuesday, May 19 - Istanbul
This morning's comprehensive city tour will show you the old city, with its numerous Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman monuments of her historic past. Admire the mighty defensive walls, the Roman aqueduct and the hippodrome. See the Suleymaniye Mosque, the church of the Pantocrator and the Galata Tower, and tour the Blue Mosque. Later, you can explore the town on your own or choose to join the optional Istanbul by Night excursion for dinner at a local restaurant and a belly dancing performance. (B )

Wednesday, May 20- Istanbul
Today, your guided sightseeing tour will take you to the Ottoman Sultans' Grand Palace of Topkapi, home to every single Sultan from the 15th century until the end of the 19th century. During your tour, admire the private chambers of the Sultans, marvel at the world famous Harem and also see the treasury, home to the Topkapi Diamond. This afternoon, enjoy an optional Bosporus cruise or use the remainder of the day to shop for souvenirs or relax at one of the charming tea houses or restaurants. (B)

Thursday, May 21 - Istanbul - USA
Following breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight home. (B)

DOCUMENTATION:
For U.S. citizens, a passport that is valid until December 2009 is required for travel. A Turkish Visa is also required.

CANCELLATION FEES:
For all cancellations, there will be a $50.00 per person administrative fee. In addition, Amadeus Waterways have the following penalties: Your $450 per person deposit will be refundable until October 1. From October 1 to 121 days prior: $200 pp penalty; 120-90 days:15% of the tour cost; 89-60 days:35%; 59-30 days: 50%; 29-7 days: 80% and from 6 days to the day of departure: 100%. Insurance coverage is non-refundable.

INSURANCE: Cape Cod Adventures recognizes the importance of trip cancellation insurance. Insurance policies provide protection in the event of trip cancellation, pre-existing medical conditions, default of a supplier, trip interruption, personal injury and most importantly, provides you with peace of mind. The specially priced group insurance cost (regardless of your age!) has been included in the tour cost and will be effective upon receipt of your deposit. A complete Description of Coverage’s will be sent to you to review. NOTE: If you choose to be uninsured for this trip, the cost of the insurance will be deducted from the tour cost upon receipt of your Reservation Form waiving this valuable protection.

We act only in the capacity of agent for the passenger in all matters pertaining to all features of the tour. Cape Cod Adventures and Northside Travel do not own or have any interest in the supplier companies. As a result of our independent operation, we do not assume, and in fact, we expressly disclaim any liability or responsibility for personal injury, damage, delay and/or cancellation, or accident due to default of any person or company and/or alterations or substitutions in trip itineraries. We do retain the right to decline to accept anyone as a member of any tour at any time with cause.

Physical Disabilities. In your best interest and in the best interest of other tour members, if you need special assistance a companion who is able and willing to provide this assistance must accompany you. Regrettably, because of the lack of proper handicapped facilities in many destinations, persons who are physically disabled or who need any form of assistance may not be able to participate in select tour programs.
